Education Director (Full-Time) Toronto, ON

This position requires managing all aspects of operations to ensure program success and to facilitate business growth.
Core responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Run our High Park centre and ensure the Oxford System is fully implemented.
- Hire, train and supervise teachers.
- Oversee the instructional floor to coach and develop outstanding teaching practices.
- Speak with parents to report on educational success and increase sales/attendance.
- Meet with our students’ school teachers regularly.
- Keep student files, attendance records and curriculum material highly organized and easily accessible.
- Work directly with the Center Director to execute on marketing initiatives.
- Develop effective and inventive ways to promote brand awareness in the area.
A strong candidate for this position will possess the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Strong leadership & management skills.
- Ability to confidently speak about both education and sales.
- Adaptability, resourcefulness and creative problem-solving skills.
- Superior written and oral communication skills, including public speaking.
- The ability to manage and balance a wide variety of responsibilities in a fast-paced environment under tight time constraints.
- A blend of both people and organizational skills, with acute attention to detail.
- Strong critical thinking skills.
- A strong work ethic and drive for results.

Part-Time Teacher - Toronto (High Park), ON
Oxford Learning High Park is looking for part-time teachers for our elementary and high school programs. Our teachers are passionate about education and the Oxford Learning program, dedicated to their students and helping them achieve success, and they possess energy and enthusiasm that spread to each and every one of our students! Do you belong on our team?
Candidates must be available Monday to Thursday evenings (4 to 8 pm) and Saturdays (9 am to 3 pm), and must be able to commit until the end of the school year (June 2009).
A strong candidate will have the following:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Strong language skills
- Excellent organization skills
- Experience teaching or working with children
- Knowledge in French (ability to work with students up to grade 8)
- Knowledge of High School Math and Science is an asset
