Beyond Tutoring™ - Writing
For students in Grades 1 to 8
Writing activities - outlines, summaries, and descriptive essays
We know that to be a good writer, you’ve got to master the fundamentals. So, at Oxford Learning each child learns grammar, sentence structure, paragraph structure, essay styles, and how to conduct research through a number of entertaining writing activities.
There is a big difference between a book report, a list of instructions, and a creative narrative. Oxford Learning students become well rounded writers who master a variety of writing formats including comparative passages, persuasive writing, outlines, summaries, and descriptive essays.
Composing thoughts
Good writers rarely transfer their thoughts directly from their minds to the paper. We teach children to refine their thoughts, and to revise and polish their words so they reflect what they had intended to communicate.
Oxford Learning students expand their skills as they begin to appreciate how good writing is a continuous process that will play an important role in their lives.
Best of all, Beyond Tutoring™ students learn to really love writing!
We know. Our writing program has proven successful for thousands of students over the past two decades.
